Hi! I am Dimples the Clown and I entertain at children's Birthday Parties, Communions, Corporate Picnics and Grand Openings. I do Balloon Animals, Face Painting, Games, Bubbles, and Music. I have attended World Clown Camp which is a two week educational program on clowning skills. Some of the classes I took while at this school, were balloon sculptering, clown skits and clown magic. At the end of the two weeks we put on a show for 600 students of a catholic school. I attend ClownFest with 200 other clowns each year which has classes for bubble entertaining, music workshops and much much more. For the music workshop I got to be invovled in a Kazoo band. This band then was able to march in the parade to mark the end of the ClownFest week. I am attending a weekend of instructions on circus skills put on by the National Circus Project. This will be an instructional weekend for juggling, plate spinning, stilt walking and balancing ball work. My husband is also a clown and attends many of these events with me and we continue to practice what we have learned at home throughout the year.I am a member of the Jersey Comics Clown Alley, a group of professional and amatuer clowns which meets once a month to share ideas and skills. This hands on meeting gives me the chance to showcase my skills to other clowns and to see how other clowns do their shows before I bring them to your party. I am a lifetime member of World Clown Association and a yearly member of Clowns of America, International. With these memberships, I get a monthly magazine which is filled with ideas and new routines for entertaining as a clown. I also subscribe to a quarterly Face Painting International Magazine which is geared towards the profession of face painting. This has articles on stenciling and the different color and types of paints that are used. Another magazine I subscribe to is called the Funny Paper. This magazine is for the professional entertainer and has articles on all aspects of entertainment from clowning to magicians.Under the My Photos section you will be able to view some pictures of Dimples the Clown. One in particular is at one of the birthday parties I have done. I am photographed with the birthday girl Julia. This was a 1st birthday party and most of the children were ages 2 and 3. We played pin the nose on the clowns face, freeze dance, hot potato and much much more. I dress as Dimples each year for Purim and entertain the children and adults at my Synagogue. At Communions I have been hired to do face painting. I have entertained at stores to help promote their business. For example, I have done Grand Openings, Customer Appreciation Day and etc. My husband and I recently entertained at a customer appreciation day at the astoria bank. I did face painting and we both did balloon animals. Aside from my clowning I am a special education teacher. I hold a bachelors and a masters degree in special education and have been doing this for the past nine years. I have taught everything from pre-school to high school. Currently, I also tutor on the college level, students with disabilities and also an adjunct lecturer of special education and then during the week and on weekends I do my clowning.
