Description of Services provided by Sassafras The Clown in New York City New York:
Professionally trained by the AT&T clowns of Philadelphia, Sassafras has been clowning for the past 13 years in the tri-state New York, New Jersey and Connecticut areas. She is both a member of clown allies(clubs) in New York and New Jersey and is a member of the World Clown Association.

Formerly both a preschool and science teacher, her love of children and clowning have no limits. Touching the lives of children of all ages, she has been working with many organizations such as The Valerie Fund in aiding sick children with cancer and blood disorders.

Sassafras has also been a member of a community based improvisational troupe performing before churches, synagogues, schools, etc. She has incorporated these skills into her zany clown sketches.

Many skills and talents abound in her show. They include colorful facepainting, spectacular balloon sculpting, fortune telling, games , an adventurous treasure hunt and an amazing magic show Sassafras fascinates all children with her small animal zoo: A large box turtle named Yertle,a baby red eared slider, hermit crabs, salamanders and miniature frogs! And to the wide eyed squeals and laughter children view other animals in display boxes: Tarantula spiders, snake skins, giant lobster claws, deer antlers and other amazing creatures!

For the very young, Sassafras performs a "Sing Along" through puppetry. During this segment, children receive puppets to sing along some of their favorite and popular songs to recorded music. A bubble show is also available.
All programs are for children 1-8 years old.

Available for birthday parties, bar mitvahs, confirmations, walk-arounds, libraries, schools, corporate picnics and functions, etc.
